Dominion Chapel Bridgeport Foundation (DCB Foundation) is a non-profit organization formed under The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dominion Chapel Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. The foundation is one of the church's community outreach initiatives. The goal of the foundation is to support individuals with financial needs, recognize volunteer work, community service experience, leadership record and excellent performance in academic, vocational and ministry trainings and empower such individuals to fulfill their purpose in life while promoting the Kingdom of God.

Grants are funded by individuals and organizations and are administered by the DCB Foundation. Awardees are notified by the last day in November for the school year starting in the next Spring. Deadline for the Spring application is is the last day in October as stated on the application form.

The goal of the Foundation is to help meet the financial needs of the under privileged, to promote service to the community, recognize leadership records and excellent performance in academic, vocational and ministry trainings as well as to promote the Kingdom of God.

Grant Criteria:
To be awarded a grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  1. Volunteer or leadership experience in church or community.
  2. Currently enrolled on a full-time basis in a College or University (include the most recent transcripts).
  3. International students must have spent at least a semester in school.
  4. Academic performance must be demonstrated with Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 
  5.  Have verifiable financial need.
  6. Primary residence or college enrollment must be in the United States of America.
  7. Submit an essay of two to three pages on the topic listed on the application.
  8. The applicant must complete the Application and return it with the required attachments (two letters of reference and copies of the academic transcripts). Please note: The Foundation Board prefers that the letters of reference, essay and academic transcript accompany the application. Please do NOT send each document separately.


Important: Grants are awarded on the basis of financial need, so not all individuals who apply will be given the award. The amount of a grant will depend on the available fund and financial need of the applicant. Grants are contingent upon the availability of funds from the Foundation and will be cancelled or reduced in the event the funds are no longer available. For students, grants are awarded only on a one-school-year basis, i.e, applicants are expected to re-apply each school year.

Completed application must reach the Foundation office no later than October 31 of the application year.  It takes the Foundation at least one month to consider the numerous applications received. All notifications of award are sent by November 30.  If the application package is not complete for any reason the Foundation is neither obliged to contact the applicant nor to consider an incomplete application package.

Announcement and Award

Each year, award recipients will be announced prior to the second Sunday in December of that year and all successful applicants will be communicated through emails. The presentation of awards will take place in the RCCG Dominion Chapel, Bridgeport, Connecticut on the second Sunday in December of that year.
